Jack's News!
by your bookstore cat,  gossip columnist, and feline friend.

Arline is still having problems with the e-mail.  She called the "guru"and he said  said he has done all he can do! She called Comcast to four  times to complain, too. Boy that was something! Just between you and me she's deaf and HATES talking on the phone.  Four different people and none of them spoke English, either! I could almost understand and her yelling, "Please Speak slowly! I can't HEAR you!" I'm used to it by now and didn't even hide. I just stood on the desk looking disgusted.

They promised three times, on three different days, to get it fixed. They gave her three different ticket numbers and promised each time to call her right back. Each time the electric went off and when that happens the phones don't ring. But there were no voice mail messages later, so if they called they didn't leave a message.  Electric and cable have been spotty here as they are rewiring most of the airport grid.

  2. Hi Jack! (Don't ever greet anyone that way on an airliner). Tell your boss to be patient.I hope Comcast gets it fixed soon. Very trying not to be able to receive e-mail. I have new phone now and can hear pretty well, but I always, and still do, hate phones. The written word always works better for me.

  3. Still trying to find out if you read me? Comcast gave more suggestions. I've followed them. Are we going to have to resort to snail mail?
