Work began or Continued on the following books:

Earthquake in Messina Italy, in the early 20th Century

STORYBOOK II, by Elena Dorothy Bowman
Within the pages of this book are stories that my mother once told me; of certain incidences that she remembered. But mostly it is compiled of the memories that were a part of all our lives.
There were happy times and there were sad times. It was a time of struggle, of prosperity, of joblessness, of wondering where the next paycheck would come from.  Times when a “breadwinner” didn’t have the money to buy a quart of milk, put bread on the table, or a dime to ride the trolley to work. Even a time when the poor didn’t know they were poor. But always, a family that stood together no matter what problems they were facing.

THE MURDER OF SEC. JUDD KANE: Adventures on Capital Hill Series, Vol. 2.
   by Celine Rose Mariotti

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to have U.S. Senators who really did their job, got along well, and stood up for what was right? This is not your typical book about politics.  It’s the perfect U.S. Senate!  Throughout the book, there is an ongoing health care debate.  Senators Andy Thompson and Hunt Wagner lead the way with a resolution to try to stop President Robinson and Secretary von Schumann from sending troops to Botswana.  But a real adventure begins when Senator Thompson is kidnapped and Brian Travors, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State is suspected of being involved.  Senators Hunt Wagner and Darius Clemens head a committee hearing to get to the truth.  President Robinson suffers a heart attack and Vice-President Barry Newman takes over temporarily.  This book is a real page turner!  Read it and you’ll have hope for tomorrow!

Encounter spirits good and bad, seen and unseen, from Queen’s Anne’s County in Maryland all the way to Northhampton County, Virginia, in the South.

With the help of a spirit Hannah discovers the truth and even more about herself!

By George! I think they've got it!

Yesterday, on my 47th call to Comcast in the last 5 weeks, I talked to a tech support person who slowed her speech patiently to deal with a deaf person over the phone; spoke fluent English, and...
did NOT insist, "IT'S AT THE OTHER END!!!!"
Thank YOU, NINA!!!!

Creepy Halloween Reading!

The psychic warned Theresa the man would haunt her for the rest of her life ... and her dark prediction was becoming true.

What would you do if you uncovered evidence of a 70-year-old murder? Would you notify the authorities or would you “let sleeping dogs lie?” These are questions that Cathy Billings must answer in Go Tell Aunt Rhody.

Messages to Authors who are not Getting MY E-mail

Who hasn’t marveled at the sight of a child nestled in his or her grandparents arms as the reader takes that child into the kingdom of tigers, and dragons and bears, oh my! Watching as their grandchild’s eyes light up, drifting off into the domain of far away places, to distant parts of an exotic world, to the bottom of the sea, and even to the far reaches of space.

E-mail Re-Re-Re-Redoux

Comcast assures me this morning that
everything is Fixed, Fixed, FIXED!!!
They have assured me of that before, so it remains to be seen...

Arline is still having problems with the e-mail.  She called the "guru"and he said  said he has done all he can do! She called Comcast to four  times to complain, too. Boy that was something! Just between you and me she's deaf and HATES talking on the phone.  Four different people and none of them spoke English, either! I could almost understand and her yelling, "Please Speak slowly! I can't HEAR you!" I'm used to it by now and didn't even hide. I just stood on the desk looking disgusted.

They promised three times, on three different days, to get it fixed. They gave her three different ticket numbers and promised each time to call her right back. Each time the electric went off and when that happens the phones don't ring. But there were no voice mail messages later, so if they called they didn't leave a message.  Electric and cable have been spotty here as they are rewiring most of the airport grid.
