Teresa Copperfield wills Kit Hauser an ocean front condo on the tenth floor in a high rise condo at Myrtle Beach, SC. The will stipulates Kit must live there for three months Kit is thrilled. She quits her job and heads to Myrtle Beach to claim her property.

Brent Leighton, Miss Copperfield’s nephew arrives the same day claiming the property as his.

When they call the attorney, hoping to clear up the mistake, he explains the property is willed to both parties and if either leaves before the last day of August they’ll forfeit their half. When they realize the will can’t be broken, each in their own mind plan how they will get rid of the other party before the expiration date of the settlement.

Myrtle Beach Cream of Crab Soup

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 (1.25 ounce) envelope hollandaise sauce mix
• 4 cups half-and-half, divided
• 1/4 cup butter
• 3 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning TM

• 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
• 1 cup whipping cream
• 3 tablespoons cooking sherry
• 1 pound fresh backfin crabmeat
• Add all ingredients to list

1. In a medium bowl, blend flour and hollandaise sauce mix with 2 cups half-and-half.
2. Melt butter in a medium, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Slowly add hollandaise mixture, stirring constantly until thickened. Add remaining half-and-half, Old Bay, celery seed, and whipping cream. 
3. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Add crabmeat and sherry, stirring gently until warmed through. Serve immediately.
