The King's Chicken
a recipe from the 11th Century
1 lb. cooked chicken
cut into 1 inch pieces
7 eggs
1/2 tsp . ground ginger
pinch ground anise
pinch saffron
Salt and pepper to taste
Pie crust to line a small crock, or a pie pan

Mix the eggs and spices
until well combined. Place the chicken in the pie crust and pour on the
egg mixture. Bake in a 400 degree oven until done.
