STORYBOOK II by Elena Dorothy Bowman

   Within the pages of this book are stories that my mother once told me; of certain incidences that she remembered. But mostly it is compiled of the memories that were a part of our lives. Doors were never locked friends and neighbors were welcomed anytime they happened to pass by. And it was an era where whenever someone visited at dinner time, an extra plate was always set out for the visitor to join in the family meal.

Author Andy Nunez reports an almost sold out result at the Outdoor Show. Also, he will deliver a  lecture at the CBEC (Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center) March 28 ($5 a head, subject: pirates), contact the CBEC in Grasonville for details. The event and it's time is not listed on their web site, but Google tells me the Center is located at:

David should hear today when exactly he will be operated on. They said he will be in the hospital five days. I don't remember my own operation. I was just a kitten, then. But I think I only had to stay in the hospital overnight for that. Roger said it would "change my mind about lady cats." Arline said, "He'll make a much better pet and there won't be any smell in the bookstore."

Well she was right about the smell, but I still like lady cats from time to time...  Roger says I'm "shooting with blanks, but I don't know it." Whatever that means.

Anyway, I got over my operation right away and it didn't bother me any except for being sleepy for a day. I sure hope Dave's is as easy on him...
