LAKE EERIE: Haunted Homicide, by Thornton Parsons
The police photographer snapped pictures of the body in the rowboat. Special Agent McCreary ruminated on the initial K that Renda had written in her own blood—she had recognized her killer! WILD AMYTHYST. Poetry by Bobbi Sinha-Morey
Call it ballet with the grace of verse, and that’s what you get inside this book. A whiff of enchantment; a touch of fantasy. Paths that lead to wondrous places and faraway lands.  Days of spring like weather and escapism. Some of Bobbi’s poems reflect real life, others imagined, and you’ll read her most genuine musings, thoughts and tales that reveal
her inner character. She draws from experiences in her past, paintings she likes to rest her eyes upon. You’ll find nature, a little dream imagery. The beauty of autumn.
Come experience her most poignant words and the dance of sunrise in her pen.

Heard from Ann Foley with some contest news this week.

Cat and Mouse Press and Browseabout Books are sponsoring a beachy short story contest with a $10 entry fee for a shot at a cash prize and publication. www.catandmousepress.com/contest/

Not much going on here at home. We had 4 nor'easters in three weeks and Roger picked up all the fallen branches every time. His pickup truck is FULL of wood. We had a snow storm, too -- they predicted  8 inches, but we only got about six.

Well, folks . Have a

In passing he mentioned the last group that were interested in the Inn and about the flyers they held in their hands. He said that an ominous wind had sprung up from out of the calm morning, ripped the flyers out of the strangers’ hands and as he watched, the flyers turned into wispy feathers floating across the water toward the Inn at Adams Point and were never seen again.

Hi Everyone,

Heard from Barbara Garro this week, a fine poet, even though she hasn't yet followed my suggestion that she try a poem with Cats in it.
LOVE BITES: Poetry by Barbara Garro,
Now in her eighth decade, Barbara Garro, at the early death of her mom, became powerfully propelled into poetry. Poem after poem, flows through her as she shares the spirit of a lifetime in innermost love thoughts, fears and dreams. Love Bites is Garro’s debut poetry
collection, first in a Series.

Hi Everyone,

Looks like the medicine finally worked. Anyway, after two weeks of misery, they're starting to look more lively. Arline was back working on covers for Elena Bowman's FLYER, That's not an easy concept to put into illustration, and so far the idea Elena gave her is the only one that is working. Meanwhile, Roger is out picking up all the tree limbs that didn't survive the three (count them, THREE!) nor'easters we had in a row.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, This is the best one yet!

GHOSTS III of the Eastern Shore, by Andy Nunez
   Not all Ghosts are Friendly...
Andy Nunez pulls back the curtain once more into the land of unquiet dead. Now, it’s not just stories handed down from generation to generation, or spooky old haunted houses and graveyards, but this time, the ghosts are here, in the present, manifesting all up and down the Eastern Shore. Andy takes us along as he explores haunts old and new, familiar and bizarre, with fresh stories to make you keep the lights on at night as things do more than go bump. Ghostly riders, hounds from Hell, and undead who have a sick fascination with the living, all are waiting within. Ghost hunters, psychics and everyday people come face to face with the unknown and the unnameable. But be warned, the spirits here are both good and evil, and some don’t want you to leave — ever…

Hi Everyone,

I'm all over the Dog Flu and feeling frisky again. Arline caught it from me, and even though she kept saying it couldn't be flu, because she'd HAD her Flu Shot, she still looked sick as a dog to me.
Ergo: Dog Flu!
Finally, they both gave up and went to the Vet and gt more medicine -- SHOTS too, just like my vet does! After that, she started to look human, again and Roger started playing his guitar again, so I knew they'd be okay.

Jack's Newsby your official Bookstore Catand Gossip Columnist.
Hi everyone!    YAWN! It's true what Arline said about my cat naps. I have been sleeping a lot lately, but it was January. STRREEECHH!! Ah, well, if you ask me, SHAKES TAIL INTO ALLIGNMENT, seems like--
BEARS got the Right Idea about WINTER!
The only thing really worth waking up for around here is when Roger sings and plays his guitar in the afternoons. AND mealtimes, of course...Aaaaannnddd treats.   But Arline reminds me, I am not just an Ordinary Cat, I AM a Bookstore Cat, and even though Our Bookstore web site is closed, whatever books we have for sale ARE still available at Amazon.com and SmashWords.com and lots of other places on the Internet, soooo I'd better start paying attention to what's going on!
There's Good News from the Print Plant in North Carolina.      Despite the 10 in. -- Yes, TEN INCHES! -- of snow they had in NORTH CAROLINA mid-month,  the printing plant IS back to work and about caught up on all the back orders.
Now that might not seem exciting to you, but NC is a long way South of MD and even if we ARE below the Mason-Dixon Line, where the Real South is supposed to begin, we only got about 6 inches here. BUT we were on the weak side of the storm. Ocean City (only 60 miles East of us) got 18 inches.
So now it's FEBRUARY!Time to wake up and Celebrate Birthdays!
Roger's is next Monday.  And Sid's is the Wednesday after that. And Arline's is sometime toward the end of the month. She'll bake cookies for Roger and Sid. Hmmm, wonder if I could (accidentally, of course) spill some catnip in a batch, so she'd have to give it to me and my baby sister????
