Catching UP!

Books that went to press:

GHOSTS III of the Eastern Shore, by Andy Nunez
   Not all Ghosts are Friendly...
Andy Nunez pulls back the curtain once more into the land of unquiet dead. Now, it’s not just stories handed down from generation to generation, or spooky old haunted houses and graveyards, but this time, the ghosts are here, in the present, manifesting all up and down the Eastern Shore. Andy takes us along as he explores haunts old and new, familiar and bizarre, with fresh stories to make you keep the lights on at night as things do more than go bump. Ghostly riders, hounds from Hell, and undead who have a sick fascination with the living, all are waiting within. Ghost hunters, psychics and everyday people come face to face with the unknown and the unnameable. But be warned, the spirits here are both good and evil, and some don’t want you to leave — ever…

Galleys that went Out this week:
Haunted Circles, by Robert Kanehl
Most freshmen at the university swear that there are ghosts on campus, but Hannah Pitkin Griswold knows the truth. There is one ghost seeking help, the kind of help only Hannah can provide.
Life travels in circles that connect through time. These circles need to meet if spirits are to ever rest. Entering her freshman year of college Hannah runs headlong into a ghost striving to complete a circle of life derailed a hundred years ago.
Can Hannah help the spirit realign her path? Will this spirit be forever searching for a love missing since World War One?
More importantly will Hannah herself complete a circle that has been haunting her since eighth grade?

Apologies everyone for all the delays...

LAKE EERIE: Haunted Homicide, by Thornton Parsons

The police photographer snapped pictures of the body in the rowboat. Special Agent McCreary ruminated on the initial K that Renda had written in her own blood—she had recognized her killer! Trapped in a dark future between here and the hereafter, Renda Rousseau finds that even in death, she cannot escape the weasel with the Coke-bottle glasses who murdered her family. Despite her ethereal rage, she is unable to contact her twin sister, Brenda, who knows that Renda is still at the lake house. But, why? Renda will capture your heart as you join her on her heart-stopping quest to leave her ghostly realm and join David and her children in Heaven. But how? Is she doomed to haunt the lake house for eternity? Relive this riveting tale of love, betrayal, and death with Renda as she makes her way back Home. Or does she?

JACK'S NEWS
and
Gossip Column

Hi Everyone,

I'm all over the Dog Flu and feeling frisky again. Arline caught it from me, and even though she kept saying it couldn't be flu, because she'd HAD her Flu Shot, she still looked sick as a dog to me.
Ergo: Dog Flu!
Finally, they both gave up and went to the Vet and gt more medicine -- SHOTS too, just like my vet does! After that, she started to look human, again and Roger started playing his guitar again, so I knew they'd be okay.

Jack's Newsby your official Bookstore Catand Gossip Columnist.
Hi everyone!    YAWN! It's true what Arline said about my cat naps. I have been sleeping a lot lately, but it was January. STRREEECHH!! Ah, well, if you ask me, SHAKES TAIL INTO ALLIGNMENT, seems like--
BEARS got the Right Idea about WINTER!
The only thing really worth waking up for around here is when Roger sings and plays his guitar in the afternoons. AND mealtimes, of course...Aaaaannnddd treats.   But Arline reminds me, I am not just an Ordinary Cat, I AM a Bookstore Cat, and even though Our Bookstore web site is closed, whatever books we have for sale ARE still available at Amazon.com and SmashWords.com and lots of other places on the Internet, soooo I'd better start paying attention to what's going on!
There's Good News from the Print Plant in North Carolina.      Despite the 10 in. -- Yes, TEN INCHES! -- of snow they had in NORTH CAROLINA mid-month,  the printing plant IS back to work and about caught up on all the back orders.
Now that might not seem exciting to you, but NC is a long way South of MD and even if we ARE below the Mason-Dixon Line, where the Real South is supposed to begin, we only got about 6 inches here. BUT we were on the weak side of the storm. Ocean City (only 60 miles East of us) got 18 inches.
So now it's FEBRUARY!Time to wake up and Celebrate Birthdays!
Roger's is next Monday.  And Sid's is the Wednesday after that. And Arline's is sometime toward the end of the month. She'll bake cookies for Roger and Sid. Hmmm, wonder if I could (accidentally, of course) spill some catnip in a batch, so she'd have to give it to me and my baby sister????
